Who is eligible for the 2014 Litigator Awards™?

In order to be granted a 2014 Litigator Awards™, a law firm must have won million, multi-million, or billion dollar cases for their clients. Since less than 1% of all lawyers are able to achieve this, The Florida Law Group joins an exclusive group of legal professionals. Our firm is 1 of 12 in the state of Florida to be selected for this award.

Nominees for the award are selected using what the Trial Lawyers Board of Regents™ refers to as Performance-Oriented Rating Methodology. On a rolling basis throughout the year, independent research teams examine attorneys and law firms based on their litigation achievements in jury trials, court trials, and appellate practice. The dollar amounts awarded as a result of these cases nominate a firm to the selection team.

In order to be selected for the 2014 Litigator Awards™, a lawyer must possess an exemplary legal record and have obtained:

• Two verdicts or settlements of $1 million or more in the 5 years prior to their nomination;
• One verdict or settlement of $5 million or more in the 10 years prior to their nomination; or
• One verdict or settlement of $10 million or more in the 20 years prior to nomination.

Considered to be the “Oscars of Trial Law,” those that have been awarded this honor will be recognized on various media outlets, including CNN®, CBS®, and ABC®. Since less than 1% of lawyers are able to achieve this feat, law firms that have accomplished this remarkable outcome deserve to be widely recognized.
